What are Agenda Topics?

These are the topics that will shape this year’s General Service Conference — the annual business meeting of A.A. as a whole. Just like Love & Service (and most A.A. meetings) holds a business meeting, A.A. does too — only this one happens once a year and impacts the Fellowship worldwide.

What’s our Role?

Make sure our voice is heard! Review the Agenda Topics, choose your top four using the link at the bottom of the page, and join us at the sharing sessions to be part of the conversation. This is our chance to be part of the process and help shape the message we carry forward!

Summaries providing background on each Agenda Topic, along with guidance on what our delegate is seeking input on, will be posted once available (expected 3/8).

Submit Your Top 4 Agenda Topic Selections

Please use the link below to submit your top four choices. Once voting closes, the results will be reviewed to determine the group’s top four topics for discussion at the upcoming business meeting. Volunteers will then be assigned to present on the selected topics during the sharing sessions, so please come prepared to sign up and participate.

What Happens After the Sharing Sessions?

After hearing our group conscience, our GSR will carry it to the Pre-Conference Assembly, where our delegate gathers the collective voice of the Area. They will then bring that group conscience to the General Service Conference and vote on our behalf.

Do Agenda Topics Really Make a Difference?

Yes! Agenda Topics are one of the primary ways change happens in A.A. Recent, highly impactful examples include the Plain Language Big Book and the Transgender in A.A. pamphlet — both of which came to fruition through the Agenda Topic process.
